The agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and [COMPANY LEGAL NAME], [ADDRESS] (“Serpkin”, “we”). By creating an account or using Serpkin you accept them. If you use Serpkin for a company, you confirm you can accept them for that company. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data.
What Serpkin does
Serpkin is an SEO teammate for coding agents. It checks the public pages of your sites, reads the Search Console data you choose to connect, uses public search data, and turns what it finds into missions: specific fixes your coding agent (for example Claude Code, Codex or Cursor) can make in your codebase. After you ship, Serpkin checks whether the fix worked. We also offer a free SEO checker for single URLs. We may change, add or remove features over time.
Your account
- You must be at least 16 and give a real email address.
- Keep your password and API keys safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us at [CONTACT EMAIL] straight away if you think someone else has access.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Add sites you do not own or are not authorised to work on. For other sites, Serpkin only looks at public pages and public search data, for example competitor research.
- Use Serpkin to scan, load test or attack any site, or to reach pages that are not public.
- Abuse the free SEO checker, for example by automating it at volume, using it to probe private networks, or getting around its rate limits.
- Get around plan limits, credits or safety caps, share an account to avoid paying, or resell Serpkin without our written agreement.
- Reverse engineer the service, interfere with it, or access it other than through our app, command line tool, agent connection or documented API.
- Break the law or the rights of others, including Google’s terms for the Search Console data you connect.
We may limit, suspend or close accounts that break these rules, usually after a warning unless the risk is serious.
Agent connections and API keys
When you connect a coding agent, Serpkin issues an API key for your workspace. Anything done with that key counts as done by you. Treat it like a password, do not share it publicly, and revoke it in the app if it leaks. Resetting your password revokes your existing keys.
Your content
Your sites, route maps, Search Console data and the results Serpkin produces for you remain yours. You give us permission to process them only to provide and improve the features you use, as described in the privacy policy. You can export your workspace or delete your account at any time. You confirm you have the right to give us access to the sites and data you connect.
AI agents and their changes
Serpkin suggests missions, steps and code snippets. Your coding agent, not Serpkin, makes the changes in your codebase. Serpkin never deploys anything and never changes your live site.
- You are responsible for reviewing, testing and shipping any change your agent makes, and for what happens after you ship it.
- Suggestions may be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Check them before you rely on them.
- Keep version control and backups so you can undo a change.
No ranking guarantee
Search engines decide rankings, traffic and AI answers, and they change often. We do not guarantee any ranking, traffic, indexing or revenue result. Search data from third parties, including estimates, may be incomplete or inaccurate.
Plans, credits and fair use
Serpkin has a free plan and paid plans. Each plan includes a set of features, sites and monthly credits. Some actions, such as keyword or competitor research, use credits. Many routine checks are included. Current plans and prices are shown on our pricing page and in the app.
To keep the service fast and costs predictable, we apply rate limits and internal safety caps on the most expensive operations. If you reach one, the action waits or stops until the limit resets. Unused credits do not roll over or have cash value unless the pricing page says otherwise.
Payment
Paid plans are sold by Creem, our merchant of record. Creem processes your payment, charges any sales tax or VAT, and issues your invoices, and Creem’s checkout terms also apply to your purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until you pause or cancel.
If a payment fails, you keep your paid plan while Creem retries. If it still fails, your workspace moves to the free plan. We will give you notice of price changes before they apply to your next renewal. Refunds follow our refund policy.
Pausing and cancelling
- Pause: your paid plan runs until the end of the current billing period, then billing stops and your workspace moves to the free plan. You can resume in one click.
- Cancel: your paid plan runs until the end of the current billing period, then your subscription ends and your workspace moves to the free plan.
- Either way, we keep your sites, missions, results and history. Until the period ends, you can undo a scheduled pause or cancellation.
- To delete your account, cancel any running or paused subscription first, then delete it in the app.
Termination
You can stop using Serpkin and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we stop offering the service. Where we end the service without cause, we will give at least 30 days’ notice and refund any prepaid time you have not used. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as liability and governing law) continue after termination.
Disclaimers
Serpkin is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties beyond those stated in these terms, including fitness for a particular purpose. We aim for high availability but do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, neither side is liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, rankings, traffic or data. Our total liability for any claims under these terms is limited to the amount you paid for Serpkin in the 12 months before the claim, or 100 USD if that is more.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. If you are a consumer, you keep your statutory rights.
Your responsibility for misuse
If someone makes a claim against us because you used Serpkin on sites or data you had no right to use, or broke the acceptable use rules, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [COUNTRY / GOVERNING LAW], and the courts there have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you may also bring a claim in the courts where you live, and the mandatory consumer laws of your country still apply.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. For meaningful changes we will email you at least 30 days before they apply. If you keep using Serpkin after that, the new terms apply; if you do not agree, you can cancel. Questions: [CONTACT EMAIL].
